EIFS

EIFS is an acronym for "Exterior Insulation and Finish System", a type of exterior cladding for building walls. It is attached to the outer face of walls, providing weather proofing, insulation, and an aesthetic beauty that is hard to rival, and to make it better, all of these things come in the same package!

Often called "Synthetic Stucco", EIFS has pushed itself to the forefront of exterior cladding in modern architecture because of its beauty, functionality, and its flexibility - EIFS can be specially designed and cut to mimic nearly any design or architecture style imaginable, and for fractions of the cost it would normally require to do these things out of stone.

STUCCO

Cement plaster, or Stucco, is as close to the "Old World" as one can get in construction these days. Usually applied in 1/2" or 3/4" thick applications over metal lathe, Stucco offers the "forever" quality and visual appeal of natural materials.

If covered with an elastomeric textured finish coat, the possible colors of a stucco exterior are limitless. Even if stucco is not given a textured finish coat, the natural hairline cracks and plaster appearance give this type of exterior cladding a breath taking visual appearance.

PLASTER

While most of the other systems we work with are exterior cladding systems, gyspum and venetian plasters are designed for interior work. Just like stucco, plaster will often come in 1/2" and 3/4" applications, using the same metal lathe and beads.

These veneer plasters offer advantages over standard gypsum board drywall. Plaster has a greater wear resistance and more strength than standard drywall, and offers a smoother, more monolithic finish than drywall. For those that want more decoration, veneer plaster, once cured, is ready for painting, faux finish coats, or even gold leaf decoration!
