The Arundel at Arundel Preserve
2016
In 2016, Robert A. Aird, Inc. installed a fluid-applied air barrier system at The Arundel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, MD, as part of a complete EIFS building envelope assembly. The system incorporated Sto Gold Coat®, a high-performance fluid-applied air and moisture barrier designed to create a continuous, seamless enclosure.
The air barrier was applied over exterior sheathing substrates and detailed at transitions, penetrations, and rough openings to maintain system continuity—critical to achieving long-term performance and code compliance. Coordination with adjacent façade components ensured proper integration with the EIFS system and overall enclosure strategy.
By delivering a continuous air barrier system, the project achieved improved air tightness, reduced moisture intrusion risk, and enhanced thermal performance. This contributed to a durable, energy-efficient building envelope suited for large-scale residential construction.
