Founded in 1975 by Robert A. Aird, our company began with a single goal: to provide expert plaster and exterior finish work with honesty, skill, and integrity. What started as a small operation quickly grew into one of the region's most respected specialty contractors, rooted in family values and a relentless drive for excellence.

President
Robert Aird
Robert A. Aird is the founder and president of Robert A. Aird, Inc., a leading exterior building contractor based in Frederick, Maryland. Since establishing the company in 1975, Robert has been dedicated to providing high-quality EIFS, stucco, plaster, and air barrier systems. Under his leadership, the company has become a trusted name in the DMV, known for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his role at Aird, Inc., Robert has been an influential figure in the construction industry. He taught EIFS courses for over 12 years, traveling across the United States and Latin America to educate professionals on best practices and proper installation techniques. His passion for sharing knowledge has helped shape the industry and raise the standards for EIFS applications.
Robert’s contributions to the industry extend to his leadership roles within the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA), where he served as Treasurer. His work with ABAA has played a crucial role in promoting quality, performance, and innovation in building enclosures. With a blend of technical expertise and a forward-thinking approach, Robert continues to be a driving force in both his company and the broader construction community.

Sarah Nichols
Sarah Nichols represents the next generation of leadership at Robert A. Aird, Inc., continuing the legacy built by her parents, Rob and Judy Aird. As Director of Operations & Estimating, she plays a key role in managing the company’s workflow, communication, and project coordination. In addition to her work within the company, Sarah serves on the Board of Directors for the EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA), where she helps shape the future of exterior insulation and finish systems nationwide. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and the family values that define Aird, Inc., Sarah is dedicated to carrying the family legacy with a deep respect for the company’s roots — and a clear vision for its future.
