In 2021, Aird, Inc. completed a comprehensive exterior envelope project for the China Garden restaurant in Frederick, MD. Our scope of work included the installation of a high-performance air and water barrier system, utilizing Henry Blueskin—a self-adhered membrane known for its superior air leakage control and moisture resistance. This application ensured a continuous and durable seal across the building envelope, enhancing energy efficiency and protecting the structure from weather-related damage.

Following the air barrier installation, we applied an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) to provide thermal insulation and a durable, weather-resistant finish. The EIFS was meticulously installed to meet the aesthetic and performance requirements of the project. To complete the exterior transformation, we crafted custom faux stone finishes, delivering the appearance of natural stone while benefiting from the lightweight and cost-effective properties of synthetic materials. This combination of systems resulted in a visually striking and energy-efficient façade that aligns with the client's vision and the building's functional needs.
