Columbia Place

2018

In 2018, Aird, Inc. played a key role in the Columbia Place development in Washington, D.C.—a 719,000 sq. ft. mixed-use project that includes dual-branded Marriott hotels and luxury apartments. Our team was responsible for the installation of a high-performance air and water barrier system using Henry Blueskin, a self-adhered membrane designed to control air leakage and moisture infiltration. This system was meticulously applied to ensure a continuous, durable seal across the building envelope, enhancing energy efficiency and protecting the structure from weather-related damage.
In addition to the air barrier installation, we conducted comprehensive stucco restoration work. This involved removing deteriorated stucco, assessing and repairing the underlying substrates, and applying new stucco finishes that matched the building's aesthetic and performance requirements. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality contributed to the successful completion of this significant urban development project.
