Expectation Church
2018
In 2018, Robert A. Aird, Inc. completed EIFS installation at Expectation Church, a 40,000-square-foot worship facility in Fairfax, Virginia. The project included a high-performance Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) designed to provide continuous insulation, enhanced moisture management, and long-term façade durability as part of the building enclosure.
As the façade contractor, Aird installed reinforced basecoat assemblies, specialty finish systems, and StoTherm ci continuous insulation integrated with adjacent glazing systems and architectural transitions throughout the building’s complex geometry.
The system was completed with a Sto Lotusan finish, providing hydrophobic performance, improved resistance to surface soiling, and long-term color durability. Careful coordination of EIFS components ensured proper integration with other building envelope systems and consistent performance across the façade.
The completed EIFS installation supports energy efficiency, durability, and a clean, contemporary appearance suited for modern church and community construction projects in Fairfax and the greater Northern Virginia region.
