Private Residence

2006

Robert A. Aird, Inc. completed a high-quality cement plaster stucco installation for a custom private residence in Annapolis, Maryland. This residential stucco project showcases our expertise in traditional exterior cladding systems and long-term building envelope performance.

Our scope included furnishing and installing a three-quarter inch (3/4") thick cement plaster stucco system across the exterior walls. The assembly was installed over stainless steel diamond metal lath, providing a corrosion-resistant substrate and strong mechanical bond for the stucco system. Zinc accessories were incorporated throughout the façade to ensure proper detailing, moisture management, and clean architectural transitions.

The stucco system was finished with a cementitious sand float texture, a classic finish commonly used in residential stucco applications for its durability, uniform appearance, and ability to complement a wide range of architectural styles. The selected finish enhances the home’s exterior while maintaining a timeless, high-end aesthetic.

Expansion joints were installed in accordance with project drawings and industry standards to accommodate building movement and reduce the potential for cracking, supporting long-term performance of the stucco façade.

This Annapolis residential project highlights Aird, Inc.’s ability to deliver traditional stucco installation with precision, combining proven materials, proper detailing, and expert craftsmanship. Our work supports durable, weather-resistant exterior systems for custom homes throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.
